This statue park is just outside of Budapest, Hungary. The Hungarians
saved the statues from the old Communist era, and put a few of them in this
park. In the Summer of 1998 the number one selling CD in Hungary was The
Best of Communism which was a fund raiser for this park. The CD has
digitally re-mastered songs, popular for the older folks as they were the songs
they sang in camp, and with the younger folks for being so camp.

This stainless steel sculpture fits in somehow with the industrial power
lines.
A reverse statue, the negative shape is the form.

The entrance to this park is interesting. The gate is locked (between
these two shots). But a side door is open. Just like Communism the
booklet says the obvious way is blocked but there is always a side entrance.

The Hungarians seem to be one of the few Newly Independent States that has a
sense of humor, and the past. The others for the most part, haven't chosen
to remember their Communist past. This park is a delight, and worth
visiting.
Lenin. Someone, I think either Brian or Kevin McClear, pointed out that
Lenin always has his hand out. A T-Shirt at the part says "Marx is
dead, Lenin, is Dead, Stalin is Dead, and I'm not feeling so good either."
