Malta is famous for two significant shipwrecks. Located in the middle
of the shipping lanes from Gibraltar to the Nile, it is in a strategic position,
and very important in several wars. But the two shipwrecks are older than
you might think. The first was Ulysses, Calypso's cave is on Gozo,
according to some historians. The second was St. Paul. He was a
prisoner of the Roman's when the galley floundered. He converted the
islands, and the Maltese are predominately Catholic to this day. Great
place to visit, even if they do drive on the "wrong" side of the road.

Self Portrait take the day I left.
