This section is dedicated to Jack Aubrey and Steven Maturin, fictional characters of Patrick O'Brian's series of novels. For new comers start with Master and Commander and continue for 19 additional novels. The only get better as you go! For Aubrey and Maturin fans here are some photos of places you might like to see. Of course they are not taken during the Napoleonic Wars, but might be of interest anyway. The thumbnails are pretty small, but you can click on any image to see a full sized photo. London, England. The Old Admiralty. The place where both Jack and
Stephen visited often.
Horatio Lord Viscount Nelson (1758-1805) in Trafalgar Square, London. Just down Whitehall Street from the Old Admiralty. Notice the hat is athwart ship.
Edinburgh, Scotland. Not in the novels, but there is a beautiful memorial to the "Admirable Nelson"
Malta once a British Navy base, frequently appears in the Aubrey Maturin novels. Valetta, the capital city
Queen Victoria, O'Brian's heroes no doubt sat in this Square long before the Queen.

The Grand Harbor
