Kabul SPAM^®! Thank the heavens for Turkey SPAM^®, much better for posing with in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (avoiding the pork products). My Shalwar Kamise is a fashion statement of a different sort. Internews Afghanistan is doing very exciting work on media development in Afghanistan, see www.internews.org for more information. I was the Afghanistan Country Director for Internews and enjoyed working with the dedicated local and expat staff.
